Would you rather have people visit you and baby at hospital or home?

So my husband and I are expecting our first child and I think I would rather have people come visit me in the hospital. I think if they came to my house they are going to be tempered to stay longer. (Not a lot of room to hang out in a hospital room.) and I also don’t want to have to “host.” Am I crazy for thinking this way? Advice appreciated as this is our first.

I don’t want anyone at the hospital except my husband and my mom- not even my in laws! I want to heal, bond, sleep, learn how to breastfeed etc. without the distraction of people coming in and out. It’s busy enough with the nurses and doctors coming and going.

I honestly I would say a hospital for the fact that I live In a small apartment and not a lot of room and I have too many people who wants to meet this baby! I don't want my boss or coworker see my apartment, my husband is the baby of 7 kids and 3 of them kids. My sister in law 4 girls, one brother in law 3 girls and the other brother in law 3 boys and the ages go from 23 to 3 and that's includes my niece and nephew from my sister!!!! I have too big of family for waiting for us to go home.

Not interested in visitors in the hospital, other than my husband of course. That’s when you bond and figure out the whole mom & baby thing. This is my third baby and each time is a little different, but really felt like crap and wanted nothing to do with people for several weeks. Didn’t feel like playing hostess at home either, since my in laws don’t understand that holding the baby isn’t “helpful”. With my first they showed up at 9 freaking am the day after we got home.

Definitely home. I had c sections. I was heavily medicated. I was so tired I just wanted to sleep and in a lot of pain. Give me a week or so.

Just our parents and siblings went to the hospital. But when we got home, my uncles went. It was great cause they brought food lol I didn’t host anything 😂 I sat on my butt eating my macaroni and spam and spaghetti (something my mom makes) 😂

normally immediate family come to hospital then other family and friends call to come see baby at home weeks later. No need to host they know what you just went through, most won’t stay long and just want to meet the baby.

I meant home but clicked hospital. I'd rather people wait a week or so then come visit at my house.
