Who has Kaiser???

Is there anyone here who has Kaiser for insurance? And had to deal with fertility stuff? What have costs been like? A nurse told me over the phone a few years ago that a simple consultation with a doctor could cost $1,000. I know coverage is different for everyone but just want to get an idea.

So far I’m hating kaiser. Haven’t gotten into the fertility area but just experienced a miscarriage and found them to be the most unhelpful and incompetent healthcare ever. From the doctors to the billing. And this alone has cost me over around $1500. Maybe they refer out for fertility issues.

I have Kaiser and I go to the Kensington, MD location. So far the staff has been nice but when it comes to fertility, I was told that I needed to wait a full year of trying before they would actually check me or treat me for infertility. I’ve been with them for about two years now and they have never done a single sonogram to check on my ovaries (diagnosed with PCOS when I was a teen). My Ob/GYN doesn’t even believe me since I’m very petite. I’ve pointed out the fact that I don’t even get a period but every 2-3 months and I haven’t been able to conceive after trying for 8 months already. Im now in the process of switching insurance and go else where.

We have kaiser and waiting in surgery follow
Up call from doctor (failed cyst removal due to endometriosis being more extensive than ultrasounds showed) she mentioned referring us to Shady grove but I was coming out of anesthesia so I don’t remember much. Pretty devastated surgery didn’t happen/work. So far my Gyno in DC has been great and al the nurses at Largo surgery center were awesome.

I have kaiser 🙋‍♀️. Yes depends on your coverage. Mine is $0 copay for everything BUT I’m in so cal and kaiser so cal doesn’t have IVF treatment so I have to be referred out. But I did 2 clomids and 3 IUIs there
