Who is to purchase?

So, I told my mom I went to the mall to pick out my wedding bands. She about came unglued! Fiancé not caring what my ring looks like or what I bought he went to another store with our daughter.. So I purchased the bands myself (no big deal to me 🤷🏻‍♀️) and she says that’s not right.. So, now we are coming around to getting his ring which is only $250. He’ll never wear the real nice ring do to his job. We are purchasing a silicone ring as well. So who should pay for his ring? He bought my engagement ring of course!? & was I wrong to purchase my own wedding bands ?

okay so what you need to do is get a cheap ring from walmart (they’re like $25) and just have him wear that for the pictures/the actual wedding. I promise you, he’s never going to wear his real band if he has the option to wear his silicone ring. my husband wore his on the day of the wedding and immediately lost it after he put his Groove silicone ring on. 
that being said, you buy his ring and he buys yours. it *really* doesn’t matter that much since the money is about to become “ours” instead of “mine” but ¯ \_(ツ)_/¯

My husband and I both paid for our rings. He bought my engagement ring and then we both contributed to our wedding bands. I see nothing wrong with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Whatever works for you guys 🤷🏻‍♀️. There’s no wrong or right way to do anything. My boyfriend makes a lot more money than I do, so when the time comes, he’ll purchase the rings. It’s however you guys like to behave in your own relationship.
