Who is in the wrong?
So here’s a little backstory on what happened last week at a local establishment: There is this bar/restaurant in town that makes great food, but they’re mostly known for their local brews and fine wine. They allow people of all ages and families in when the kitchen is open. Kitchen closes at 8, but they won’t kick out people underage who were already there before they close it up.
So here’s the situation: A family of 4 came in, 2 adults and 2 kids around ages 4-7. They arrived around 7:30 ish ( I was already there) and they were in a booth. *I want to add that they were made aware of the hours before they sat down* On Wednesday’s, they have a trivia night that starts at 8 and the family was still there. So mix alcohol and game night together and things get loud. Men and women start pouring in and they’re having a great time. The family is getting quite annoyed with how loud and rowdy things are getting, but they still just sit there and talk (looked like they were done eating). Then about 10 min later, the trivia game started getting intense and there’s cursing, quite loud, but expected at that kind of place. The mother, then starts to get pissed and started telling people to be more quiet and stop cursing. The group she was talking to basically told her to mind her own business and if she had a problem that she should leave. Her husband then started telling them that there were children there and that they need to watch their mouths. Group essentially tells them to F off. Wife then throws her drink at the group and someone splashed half a pitcher of beer at her. She gets pissed and started screaming at them and how she’s going to sue the establishment and people there. Cops get called and arrive like 5 min later. Family is escorted off and the kids were crying because their mother was in cuffs (didn’t get arrested, just escorted out) and lead outside. Only the family was made to leave because there were tons of people telling the cops what happened. Everything else continues and even cheering happens once they were gone.
So, my question is who is in the wrong here?
Bonus question: Would you bring your young children to a place that’s mainly known as a bar when it’s within 30 min of closing its kitchen?
