Acrylic nails???

So my prom is coming up this weekend on Saturday and tomorrow I am going to get my nails done but I didn’t know what shape to get them as like I have it down to 2 different ones square and round but I didn’t know which ones would brake less because sometimes when my friends get theirs done they break and I also didn’t know which ones were better acrylic or the gel ones if you guys know or have ideas which ones are better or that I should get it would really really help me thanks 😬😬😇😇

I have always gotten to where I use the KISS press on gel nails. They last just as long as acrylics, they don’t break your nails or brittle them, AND it doesn’t break the bank!

Round, oval, almond or stiletto are less likely to break. Square, squoval, or coffin more likely to chip or break. 
If you are just getting them for prom and aren’t planning to maintain them, just get the shape you like the most and remove them when you are ready.

I always do the SNS dip powder nails. I like that's it's my natural nail but feels like acrylic. I also like my nails a more natural length so I can dress myself and my little girl...damn buttons.

I used to get regular solar nails but the paint would chip off. I love gel nails and I always tell them square with rounded edges! Mine are grown out so they look bad but this is what I get

This is how I had mine done for junior prom. Senior prom was the same style just different color. They’re acrylic and I chose to have them be most similar to my actual nail shape.

I always go with a balance between square and round. A square like shape but have hem round the corners like this

I don’t really like gel nails personally

I’ve never had an issue with acrylic nails breaking or chipping and I usually get them very long. I DID have issues with one nail shop where they would literally just completely pop off; but once I switched to my new one my acrylics would stay on for a month at a time before a refill. It honestly will depend on your shop and your technician. I’ve never tried gel tho so I can’t voice any opinion on it :-(
