Can digestive issues cause infertility?

So I just found out my lower intestine(small intestines) is abnormal and is swollen. A while back I had a intestinal tract infection that took me on a long journey for three months. They did an G.I. scope and a colonoscopy and xray. I also had ultrasounds done because I couldn't get pregnant. So all my female antamony is fine and yet I have had this intestine swelling and irritation for months and it just clicked in my head. Am I infertile because of my poor eating habits and this IBS?
