my boyfriend and i are in high school. both seniors. i’m from a family where i have to work my tail of to earn money. it isn’t given to me. jobs, saving, whatever. then my boyfriend on the other hand is given everything. he’s never had a job, his parents gave him a card and whenever he’s below 100 they put 600 in. there’s no catch. he can spend whatever the hell he wants and be guarantied a refill. yet he wont pay for me. when we go to dinner, either he asks if i’ll pay or we split it. for my birthday he got me a blanket he found in his closet. the other night we went on a gelato date with another couple and the boy payed for them two in the other couple, and my boyfriend and i bought our own. idk.. i feel like disrespected almost. i know money doesn’t matter but come on he should spend SOMETHING on me. girls am i overreacting by genuinely being butt hurt over this or am i sexist or something.
