Ingrown Hair????

Someone please tell me this is an ingrown Hair? Me and my partner just started having sex and ive had a complex about herpes for years. Every ingrown hair or razor burn is herpes to me in my eyes. I noticed an under skin spot last night and started scratching the hell out of it. I think ive scratched off the top layer of skin and now it’s sore. Please can you set my mind at ease? I feel uncomfortable having sex with him whilst any spots are there because I worry it’s more than just ingrown hairs!! Thank you ladies x
