When do they start cervical checks?

I’m 34 weeks and my Dr hasn’t even mentioned doing cervical checks but yet on here I keep seeing posts about other pregnant women due around the same time as me already knowing how much they’re dilated... I’m a little confused as to as if that’s the norm

Mine did one at 36 weeks after an ultrasound just to check on things. Then just at 38, 39, and 40 weeks.

The doctor with my first pregnancy checked at 37 weeks and then at 39 weeks. My doctor this pregnancy is more holistic than my last so i have a feeling that she won't do any checks at all until labor.

There is no reason for them to check you during a normal pregnancy unless you have signs or symptoms of labor. I will NOT be getting checked until that time.

Mine offered to check at 38 weeks but I declined until it was my past my due date then they said they had to check. I personally see them as pointless because you can walk around 2 or 3 cm dilated for weeks ... or in my case I was 0 and then just went into labor. It’s not very pleasant having one done.

When you're in labour. Before that it's pointless and increases risk of infection.

mine said she starts at 35 weeks but I won't see her until 34 and 36 weeks so idk if shell start early or wait till 36 weeks lol

My last doctor did starting at 36 weeks. I'm seeing a new doctor this time and I'm going to opt out of it, if he even does them.

Mine started around 37 weeks, but ive heard not all drs do it because if the infection risk.
