How would u lady’s feel if you’re significant other never wanted to go to any family events with u to meet ur family after 1 years of being together now living together and a baby on the way?

maybe it's just me but I don't consider family a social event. it's family!! Sounds like he may be embarrassed of himself or he's not in it for the Long haul so he's making sure he's not too deep in that he can't leave.

I would sit down and explain the importance of him going to at least SOME family events. If he’s still unwilling, there may be a deeper issue that he’s not telling you or maybe he’s just not as involved as you thought he was.

My partner isnt a big people person. If it’s a small crowd then it’s fine but he’ll go quiet if he’s around all my family members but I would say he does need to bite the bullet and meet your family, even just the once.

Mine doesn’t necessarily enjoy hanging out at my family’s house, but he does it for me because as my fiancé and soon to be father of my child it’s really important he has a relationship with his in laws and the grandparents of his child... Honestly I’d be concerned if that wasn’t important to him as well.

I wouldn't force him. he doesn't like people in general. He's gone to a baby shower for my cousin for the free food but has social anxiety so doesn't really talk to people. my family was fortunately very considerate and didn't force him to talk at all. And he's met my parents but he never goes with me when I visit and I'm okay with it
