Did I do good?

I know that I just started taking my medication for my ADHD two days ago today is third day.....Well feel like I did the right thing by going online for C4yourself to try to get a hold of someone for my walfare to work to get to talk about my exemption see if I can extending it right, my mom helped with the phone call everything all good right, told her thank you then that happy song was playing in my head right after phone called ended, she was about to step outside to have her cigarette she says to me I won’t give you another compliment like that again then steps out. (I was surprised how she made my happy song go bummer dude)

So I went outside said thank you for your compliment and thank you for helping me out Mom.. did I do right thing or brush it off???
