Tongue piercing?

I got my tongue pierced a while back and it’s been healed for quite a while so I don’t really check it when I brush my teeth or tongue but I noticed on the bar and balls that the color was wearing off, but the color was colored metal plated on top of a regular silver bar and balls, and the past couple of days I’ve been nauseous and almost threw up a couple of times and just overall had an irritated stomach, could it be because of the metal that I was ingesting from the tongue ring? Because quite a bit of it was worn off
