Fired on Short Term Disability
So I’m pregnant and I’m so worried my employer is going to fire me now.
My dr just put me on reduced hours, from 12’s to 10’s for the remainder of my pregnancy. My employer agreed to accommodate my reduced hours. I was approved to get short term disability for the hours I’m not able to work if I wanted. I’m not doing anything wrong, still show up to work on time and do my job well but I’m scared that they will fire me for not being able to work the full 12. I understand I can still be fired for not doing my job... etc.... but I do. Never had problems with that. Could they fire me for not being able to work the 12 hours? I am looking into FMLA this week and I think that will protect my job but I’m not sure?
