Nexplanon Renewal?

Did you get your Nexplanon removed or did you get a new one? I got mine after I graduated high school because my ex bf and I were going off to college and my mom wanted me to be safe, but two months after we started college, he broke up with me. I’m due to get it taken out in July and it hasn’t really been much use to me. I haven’t been sexually active at all and I doubt I will be anytime soon. If you got it replaced, were the side effects different than the first time you got it?
