If you had to choose between prefolds, AIOs, or AI2s, what would you choose?

We’re beginning to build our first one size diaper stash, and are deciding where to begin. What has been your preferred diaper type out of prefolds, AIOs, and AI2 systems (like Flip and Grovia hybrid)? Pros/cons? Preferred material?

I prefer prefolds and AI2s. I have AIOs and pockets they all leak. I just got a flip cover and cotton inserts and I love them. I mostly use prefolds, they are not difficult at all to fold and they are the cheapest.

I’d do AIO2. Generally they dry faster than AIO and take less effort than prefolds. I’ve been disappointed with the absorbency of the AIOs I’ve used.

I'm lazy so I like aio best😂 in my experience natural fibers work best and absorb the most. I like bamboo/cotton blends or hemp/cotton blends the most but with a with some kind of stay dry material or liner on top otherwise they can feel really damp and uncomfortable on babe. also a con of the aio system sometimes the poop can can stuck in the creases and be harder to spray off so if my son is having particularly gross poos (runny or explosive) then I prefer to use some pocket diapers since they're completely flat and easy to spray off. my favourite aio brand is Omaiki they have really nice bamboo/organic cotton blend aios with a jersey stay dry material on top. they're crazy absorbent and I've never ever had a leak or any problem they work great at night and all day. I use bum genius pockets which are okay but the elastics have worn out so I'm looking into new brands I use the omaiki evo bamboo/organic cotton inserts (simply amazing💖) and I like thirsties hemp/cotton boosters too but I no longer need them since I got rid of all my microfiber inserts
