TMI Cervical Mucus

So I have never had this happen before so I'm truly confused. I'm normally very good about keeping track of my cycle but I came off my birth control pills about 2 months ago and my period is 20 days late so everything is all out of whack. I used the bathroom this morning and my CM was an odd texture. It was very similar to an egg white texture but it was also brown and a large glob of CM pretty much fell out. I mean like an almost golf ball sized amount. I was cramping yesterday like my period is about to start, but I've never had CM like this. Any idea on what it might mean?
