Need help!
So my daughter was born at 34 weeks and had to spend 2 weeks in nicu, my plan was to breastfeed but because I wasn’t with her 24/7 and she needed to gain weight I pumped my milk and it was bottled to her, she is now a little over 5 weeks and still getting the bottle but this past week I have been trying to put her on the breast to make life easier. But so far it’s been very frustrating, she has a hard time latching 90% of the time and is a very sleepy eater so the feedings can take up to an hour and at the end she still seems like she isn’t getting enough, so I’ll top her off with a bottle and then sometimes pump just so I don’t get engorged. Anyone have tips to make this easier for the both of us ?! I really don’t wanna continue with bottle feeding her and pumping because it’s very tiring and time consuming! But I also don’t wanna give up on trying to exclusively breastfeed, just need some advice/support because I’m starting to feel defeated 😕
