Too cold?

My daughter is sleeping in her bassinet, and I am really worried about her getting too cold. Our bedroom is the only room in the house that gets hot so I have the fan on all the time. She hates having her arms swaddled so they’re out of the blanket but the rest of her is covered in a swaddle. Her hands are really cold and when I felt her chest and back of her neck she is clammy but kind of cool. Think she is too cold?

Babies like to sleep and feel comfortable in 68°F and no warmer than 72°F. Cooler is actually better for babies one year and younger because babies can easily overheat, which can lead to SIDS. Maybe dress her in sleepwear that has those mitten fold overs on the sleeves so her hands don’t get too cold.

Have you tried a “Love To Dream” swaddle? They’re swaddles for babies that like their arms up :)

hands get cold, they are a bad indicator of body temperature. 
checking the back of her neck is better. but I imagine, that if you are okay, she is okay. they say the ideal room temperature for babies is around 72° F. 
you can always try the fleece onesies!

you can always get a baby monitor with a built in thermometer.
