Anyone’s Dr. said this...

Been TTC for 8 months now. I recently moved. Before moving, I was given a prescription of folic acid and have been actively tracking and trying. At the 8 month mark and I’m concerned. So I went to my new dr today to get a new prescription of folic acid and voice my concerns. My Dr let me know she’d put in a referral for me to see the Gyn but the referral would more than likely be kicked out because I haven’t been trying and/or been off birth control for a full year. So just curious, how many of you have been told to ‘just hang tight’, keep tracking until a year? Basically nothing can be done until a year 😑 My BFF got Clomid and got pregnant in 3 months. Why would I need to wait to year? I hear stories of so many women who get Clomid right off the bat and boom pregnant. What’s the secret? Why am I being told wait a year?! Ok now that I’ve calmed down 🙃 anyone else experience this?
