Is the 2nd baby just as special?

Ok please, please don’t hate me. 
I just found out I’m pregnant with my second. My first is almost a year. It was a happy accident! But, I’m worried the second isn’t as special? Does it feel as magical as when you had your first? How can I love another when I love this one so much?!

I had/have these same feelings & thoughts 7 days from my due date. I don't have any advice yet because I haven't been able to bond yet with the child I am carrying,  so I'm going to follow this post

I think it’s natural to have those concerns but you’ll totally bond with and adore your new addition! I found it didn’t lessen my love for my first...didn’t think it was possible but I love my new little guy just as much. Seeing my 2yo interact with “his baby” (according to him), who is 6 weeks old, is awesome too!

I think it is but in a completely different way. My son is two and I’m 36 weeks along. He’s come with me and my husband to my doctors appointments and we try to include him in everything just as much as we are. He gets so excited to hear the baby’s heart beat and when we’re at home he kisses my belly like my husband does. I’m just as excited to meet this baby as I was to meet my son. I also really can’t wait for him to meet her and to be a big brother. The experience is different this time but I don’t think it’s any less special, especially as I get closer to the due date

I didn't feel it was as special pregnancy wise but when I gave birth is was just as special and teaching my daughter to help with her brother was such a special bonding time and now her sister is the same my oldest helps so much and teaching my son how to help with his little sister is that special bonding all over and I can't wait for my next 2.

So I am 18 weeks with #2 and my son (first) is 15 months old.  Pregnancy wise I feel it isn’t as big of a deal.  But baby wise??  I am super excited to give my son a little sibling.  As every child tends to be different, there will be different things to love, different milestones and “OMG!” Moments.  I am excited to see my son blossom into an amazing big brother (though I am sure there will be hiccups on the way).
