Cloth diapers.... HELP!!

Hello ladies,

I just had my third baby and I am looking to start using cloth diapers on him however I need help!!! (my other two always used disposable)

LO has extremely sensitive skin and has been suffering with ugly diaper rashes since a week old. He’s currently 5 weeks old. I have always changed him as soon as he wets his diaper or has a dirty diaper of course. We go through about 15 diapers a day.... it’s killing me. I have switched to different diaper brands.... Currently trying pampers pure I guess I have to give these a few more days to see how he reacts to them.

Triple paste isn’t helping. (always helped with my older boys) I have also tried a few other creams as well and nothing... I made my own home remedy using coconut oil, 2 drops of tea tree oil, (for a yeasty rash) and aloe Vera. That is the only thing that treats it then it comes right back within 2 days... makes me so sad that my baby is uncomfortable or is hurting :(

Sooo point is, I know nothing about cloth diapers!!! I’ve done a little research and it is a bit confusing. I see so many different brands and types... I don’t know what I need!

So far I’m leaning on the bumGenius which has Freetime and ORIGINAL.. what’s the difference?? Which are better?? Charlie Banana also sound pretty good ? Opinions?

How many do I need to purchase to start since he’s 5 weeks old?? How do they work? Please as much info as possible would be awesome!
