My bf doesn’t want kids

I’m in love with a man who says he never wants any kids. I don’t know if I should break up with him! I’ve never thought about having to choose because I just assumed all relationships would lead to having a kid. But he says he doesn’t want to share his partner with anyone else, and he’s afraid of being less loved than the child.The most difficult part is that he wanted me to promise if I do end up with him, having a kid won’t be a big deal and I won’t ever leave him because he couldn’t give me a baby. I’m so torn!
