Anyone else feel this way?

I’m a FTM and my baby is a week old today. Does anyone else dread night time??? Like it makes me sad.  I dread my SO being tired bc I don’t wanna be up alone with my baby.

I was the same exact way. I got so bummed out when my SO went to bed and id have to up alone with the baby. my baby is now 2 months old and things have gotten alot easier. (she'll sleep 11-7ish if I keep her up 3 hours before bed.) best of luck!

🙋🏼‍♀️ I was so relieved when I could see some daylight and it meant we had made it through the night. Pretty soon she started sleeping more at night. The first time I slept 5 hrs was AMAZING! I think that was around 6 weeks. And then 6 hours around 8 weeks. Now we’re battling 4 month regression, but it’s NOTHING like those first few weeks. It will pass!!!

I totally used to feel like this! For the first couple of weeks/month or so I would get really anxious in the run up to bedtime. It does get better though, promise! Newborn cluster feeding is just intense! You can do this 😃

Oh gosh the first few weeks are brutal. Postpartum hormones combined with zero sleep, healing from birth and the overwhelming responsibility of keeping a tiny squishy human potato alive. I felt so much dread every night before bed. You will get through it! And it’s totally normal to feel honestly miserable the first couple of weeks. I cried every day for 2 weeks straight. If you’re still feeling really down after 2~ weeks I would talk to someone but right now your hormones are dropping like crazy which causes the “baby blues”. Hang in there mama! There is so much light at the end of this tunnel.
