Infection 10 month old.

I am so frustrated. Maybe you guys can give some insight on what I should be pushing for. My husband was carrying my son around the house. And he smacked his foot off of a sharp corner on his big toe. It bled. Became infected. I took him in and we 13 days of antibiotics orally and topically. It seemed to get rid of the green/puss but never got rid of the foot just being red. It's been almost over a month. We went to the doctors recently to have it rechecked but my son had got Hand foot and mouth. We waited till that healed to do anything more. He is almost all healed from HFAM but his toe is still red! what the hell guys!
