New boss

La

I started a new job May 30. Last week was technically our first day of working. I applied for the job in February (at 14 weeks) and didn’t find out I got the job until the end of April. Because I’m high risk and lost my first child at 28 weeks, I didn’t tell my new boss I was pregnant until 28 weeks, the week I started my job.

Some of my duties include going to court and writing sentences if the defendant takes a plea deal. Depending on the crime and plea stipulations, there can be up to 5-6 forms (per person) that have to be filled out. Not all stipulations are straight forward, and it’s important not to make mistakes on the form.

I have been filling out the forms correctly, but my boss has been harder on me than on the others and I think its partly due to my pregnancy. Today, for instance, she had me complete a sentence sheet by myself, and told me to be accurate but try to rush through it a little. Of course, I thought I was a slow poke and not doing well. Later I watched her and my coworkers fill out forms, and they were taking just as long as I was.

She’ll pick my other coworkers to help her with something, and completely ignore me. She never chooses me. She’ll cut up with them, and be completely serious the entire time with me. If I ask a question, she’ll have an annoyed response towards me but not towards my coworkers.

Maybe it’s in my head, but I’ve been documenting everything in case she tries to find a reason to get rid of me. I’m so stressed and upset. I’ve never done this type of work before, and we aren’t shadowing anyone..just listening to her and doing the forms ourselves. Every time I think I’m doing well, she makes me think I’m not.
