My 2 1/2 year old wont brush his teeth. His breath stinks. 🤢

Help!

I’m desperate.

It’s never really been an issue before as he’s still young, but recently it’s now a huge problem.

His breath stinks to the point where I can actually smell it when he’s talking to me and I’ve even checked his nappy before realising where it’s coming from. His tongue is covered in a white/yellowish later.

He will take a toothbrush and put it in his mouth, suck of the toothpaste and then says done. There’s no brushing involved and he won’t let me do it. He clamps his lips and teeth shut.

He’s not one to respond to sticker charts or rewards and is VERY stubborn.

I’m going to get him an electric toothbrush today to see if that helps.

He sees me and his sister do our teeth every morning but he’s just not interested.

I need to nip this in the bud now with him still being young before it becomes a problem and embarrassing for everyone.
