nexplanon and pregnant!?!

Question

sooo i just got the nexplanon (a week ago), and i screwed up, i started looking on the internet... i keep seeing all these horror stories about people getting pregnant. ive talking to my boyfriend about it and i really want to have unprotected sex, but im still super worried. i know its 99.99% effective... but that 0.01% has got me. any words of wisdom? should i actually be worrying?

I’ve had it for 9 years now. 
And 6 of those years, I was a cum dumpster.
(5 years by ex & 1 year with current relationship)
No babies for me 😆
I do not recommend my actions. 
Use a condom if you’re worried & to protect yourself (obvi).

Obviously no method except abstinence is exactly 100%, but like u mentioned, Nexplanon is highly effective!! It’s even said to be more effective than having ur tubes tied. Those stores u have read are extremely uncommon!! And, I’m willing to bet that some of those pregnancies either happened before Nexplanon was inserted & they just didn’t know yet, or happened from not waiting until it was effective. I’ve personally had Nexplanon for 3 1/2 years (on my second implant) and I’ve never gotten pregnant. That all being said, if u still want extra protection without having to use condoms, then u could use spermicide and/or cervical sponges in addition to Nexplanon.

Not gunna lie , I was on it for 6 years, and I rarely if ever used condoms (I hate the way they feel) and never had a pregnancy scare. I did take regular tests and things because I never got my period while on it and always worried , but here we are 6 years later and no babies 👶🏼👶🏼👶🏼

I had it for two years, my boyfriend never pulled out and I never got pregnant if you’re worried have him pull out or use other forms of protection.

I was on nexplanon for 3 years with no problem. It's highly unlikely that you'll get pregnant on nexplanon. If you're worried you might be get ahold of your OB/GYN.
