possibly second loss....unsure of what to do

We have been trying for a little over a year. Had a early loss 4w3d in September then another in December at what should have been 9w but gest sac never grew past 6w. Now we are pregnant again and I am 8w today. At 4w my hcg tripled in 48 hours and was told progesterone was ok at 12.1. I have had 3 appointments already And the gest sac has measured great each time but empty. Last week though sac was still looking empty then after some hunting could faintly see what looked like a yolk sac. I was started on a progesterone supplement as at 6w6d it was 13.1. Went back yesterday and at first seemed it was empty but after some hunting (not sure if I have a funky shaped uterus) found something more but not what should be at almost 8w and no heartbeat. I was told another blighted ovum and that would be another loss and given an option for D&c; or wait it out naturally. Even though not "what should be" I can't help be feel that I can't end it seeing as there was some sort of change this week. I'm seeking some advice as last time it took a while to miscry naturally and I have a lot of events coming up in the next few weeks and if it is for certain not viable I would probably prefer a d&c; but would almost rather a second look by someone else as confirmation it is not viable before that decision is made.

If this does not work out I would also like to do some testing and have both my husband and I checked out. I was told insurance may not cover until 3 losses however my first one was never medically documented so to them this would only be the second. Sorry this is so long just at a loss as to what my next steps should be.
