I need info !

So I’m 36w3d today and at my appointment they went ahead and checked my cervix and said I’m a fingertip dilated. I’ve heard that doesn’t usually mean anything and that I could still go the whole 40wks and that some people stay dilated a fingertip for awhile, but I was wondering if anyone of anyone could tell me more about it like could I possibly go into labor early orrr ??
