Child Internet/ Social Media Privacy

Do you or would you sneak a peek into your child’s internet history or social media?
I’ve seen some parents say they’d do it often. Some say never, because it’s an invasion of privacy.
Honestly, for me, I did it every now and then with my son once he had his own phone. I would say hmm every 4-5 months? I think for me, the reason why isn’t to be nosy in general. I did it, because I wanted to be sure he wasn’t looking at anything dangerous, or even to make sure he wasn’t looking at things like depression, self harm, etc.
I would say the majority of the time, kids aren’t going to come tell you that they’re looking at these things, or that they’re depressed, etc. So I figure it’s a way that I can be proactive if he or she does. I’ll be doing the same with my girls when they’re older.
