Baby shower...?

So I had a baby shower for my daughter who will be five next month. I think multiple baby showers are tacky. However I want to celebrate this baby too. Gender reveal party...? Would it be too much to ask everybody to bring a pack of diapers and or wipes? I don’t really want typical baby shower gifts. Or anybody to feel obligated to get something.

So then just throw a regular party. It’s just to celebrate a new life. 
And also, that baby shower was five years ago. 
It’s not like you just had one last year and are asking for stuff again. People will probably bring a few things anyway.

I think it's great to celebrate baby number 2. Many people have a siaper/wipe shower if they are close in age or a sprinkle shower. For me my son is 6.5 and I have nothing from him so we were given a second shower.

I've never had one for any of my three pregnancies. I always like to get our own stuff. My mom and sisters of course buy a ton of stuff for them and other people will send stuff in the mail, bring a little something when they come meet baby or ask what I need but I don't like baby showers for myself, but I do like to attend if someone else chooses to have one ❤️

Asking for diapers is a great idea! You could even include on your invites that those who bring diapers/wipes get to be entered into a raffle to make it fun!

We had a baby “sprinkle” with number two. Not a full baby shower but since it was a girl and our first was a boy we did need some girlie things. But really it was just a party with some food and games and each of my kids get special story books that our friends have written notes to them in..so we did that there too.

No, that wouldn’t be too much! Honestly, I don’t think another baby shower would be too much/tacky either! (Especially since it’s been 5 years since you had your first.) In my opinion, baby showers are meant to celebrate each baby, not just get free stuff, so it’s not tacky to me. But a gender reveal seems more low-key especially if you ask people to specifically bring diapers or wipes. Congratulations!
