seeing a gyno for the first time

so, I'm seventeen, and recently sexually active. I know that that is when people say you should see one, however, my mother doesn't know I am no longer a virgin, and If I wanted to see gynecologist, I wouldn't want to lie to my doctor because she is there. (I know that lawfully she doesn't have to be there + the patient confidentiality thing but she'd feel as though something is up if I didn't let her go with me.)

in the state of Texas, the age of consent is seventeen. with that said, would I be able to see the gynecologist by myself, without involving my mother at all? I don't know how to go about setting up an appointment, or what medical documents I need, or how to get them myself. or anything like that. I feel that if I wanted to see one now, I have to involve my mom to get to those documents.

and no, I don't think there is anything physically wrong with me down there, and no I do not have insurance, but I want to know that I can go if something comes up, and I want to be prepared.
