Was told I’m lying about being pregnant
My daughter said to me this morning “Mommy, Why isn’t James (A name she picked for the baby because that’s her bestfriend from school name🤦🏾♀️🤣) coming out? It’s been so long”
I told her...
“Because it’s not time for him to come out yet.”
She asked “Why can’t he come out yet?”
I said “Because it sometimes takes 9 months for babies to come out.”
She stared at me and walked out my room. She comes back in my room and says “Mommy it’s okay to eat.”
I asked her what she meant and she said “You lied and said there’s a baby in there but you only said that because you’re getting fat and it’s making your tummy big so you’re sad and so you said you have a baby in there and there’s no baby because he didn’t come out yet.”
Before I could even respond she walks up to me and rub my stomach and says
“It’s okay to be fat mommy. I already know there’s no baby in there.”
After minutes and minutes of trying to convince her with sonograms pictures and listening to the fetal Doppler, Nothing would change my 5 year old Princess mind. Can’t wait to see her face come September when “James” gets here! 😒
