So I guess I’m not surprised when certain stereotypes prove true on occasion but not technically having to do with race.

Anyone who claims to be 100% free from racism is lying lol Racism isn’t just not liking someone because of their skin color. It’s deeper than that and is engrained in us from young ages. Stereotypes, being more cautious around certain kinds of people because we have baseless fears, and more. It’s just important to confront these things, acknowledge them and why we feel/think things even if we know they’re wrong and work to break down the things society has set up.

I think we all have some sort of unconscious bias. And some may be pertaining to race. 
It sounds horrible but it’s undoubtedly the truth. We all have those biases in our heads. Like when someone is going too slow ahead of us and we have to look over to see if it’s an elderly person. Or etc.

Absolutely. Stereotypes exist for a reason. I used to be way on the other side but the more crap I see everyday I realize that people are idiots that keep stereotypes alive.
