I just can't believe this happened...

ok so I posted anonymously yesterday about what was going on. So time to explain the entire situation. My husband and I went to our first appointment. Nurse was great and we were super excited. my MIL was there because she didn't get to be at an ultrasound for my son. So we wait and finally meet the doctor. Older woman, 20 years of experience in the field, professional. I thought all was good. I wanted to meet her because unless you schedule a c section you get whoever's on call at the hospital. Not a problem for me I met everyone else with Gordon and they were kind and professional.

Boy was I wrong about her. I mention my MIL would be joining us for the ultrasound after we made sure we had a healthy baby. First words from her about that were literally , "A picture isn't good enough for her?" I had to clarify that it was what I wanted. Finally after explaining I didn't want genetic testing because it wasn't a concern for us, we got down to it. She proceed to the ultrasound.... and nothing. No baby. No sac. I started crying because I didn't understand what was going on. I had had no bleeding, or severe pain. She proceeds to tell me I'm probably not very far along. which...ok but I got a dark positive May 22 so something should be there. Tells me it could be ectopic or a miscarriage. then tells.me.not to lose hope. I'm diagnosed with a pregnancy of Unknown Location...

tested hcg levels and found out today they are perfect along with progesterone. I called and my original doctor who delivered my son was to look over the info. I explained I'm going on vacation soon and need to know ifwe I can't go. So after reviewing the numbers she got me.to and ultrasound tech asap. Tech found our baby with a strong heartbeat of 188 and wiggling like crazy... I don't even know how this woman missed it. I'm so angry but at the same time relieved because my baby is healthy and happy.
