Cutting off family

I’d like to start off and say my dad and his side of the family have never been very close to me, sad to say but that’s how it always been. Well it came out last night that my father was cheating in my mom, when confronted he lost his shit and made it know how little he actually cares about having a family or being a family, but what makes it worse is his mother and 2 sisters knew about it all because he admitted to having multiple girlfriends to them and still kept it a secret from all of us. In anger I completely cut them out from deleting numbers to deleting them off of every type of social media that my husband and I have, but today I realized that might put me in a bad light but i just see them as toxic and I don’t want that in my life or my child’s life. What would y’all have done in my situation?
