Dilating??

For the moms who have given birth already, is it true that when you get sharp pains in your whoha, that means your dilating?? I was told that but wanna make sure that's accurate

Yes sharp shooting pains also known as lightning crotch can mean dilation. Also period like cramping is another sign.

I think that pain is more from baby hitting a nerve or your cervix. When I get the period like crampiness I am more dilated at my next appointment.

I would say it’s probably different for everyone bc my last baby I dilated pretty fast when I got into the hospital and never felt lightning crotch or sharp pains like that down there! Just the regular contractions!
