Has anyone here tried it?

For those that don’t know, it’s

IVF

without the injections. You take Clomid or Femara and the rest is the same as regular

IVF

.

It’s often done with women with diminished ovarian reserve. The idea being that you need only quality eggs. retrieving 15 eggs is pointless if only 2 will be of good quality. You get fewer retrieved, but they will have a much better chance of being good quality because you won’t have over stimulated your already depleted reserve, essentially frying your ovaries!

It’s significantly cheaper too, but often need more than one retrieval to bank eggs for PGS.

It’s not as common as regular

IVF

, but I’m curious as to who decided to try this instead.
