My life is turned upside down
I have an active duty boyfriend. He just completed basics and AIT 18 days ago. I am really proud of what he has accomplished. And he has been wanting to do this since he was a kid. he is now stationed in DC. He is part of the Old Guard and is really liking it. He is trained to protect the president and also DC if anything happens. Like I said I am really proud, but I had the distance. When I need him the most he isn't there. He calls every night only for 45 minutes to an hour, but it's just not the same. I am so use to having him around and doing things with him all the time. He has currently talked to me about marrying me, but I am not sure that I am really ready to become a military wife and I also have a year left of school. don't get me wrong I love my boyfriend and I try daily to be the support system that he needs, but I just can't seem to think about moving there to be close to him to know that in years time we will have to move again. When I said yes to him joining the military I didn't know that my plans and my life would all have to change. *Update* We both have decided that right now it's better for me to focus on my last year of school and for him his new job and training, but once I am done with school we both have decided that I will be moving to DC and try to embrace the military life style. It's a new adventure and I am sure that it will be a life changer, but I am willing to embrace it, because it's what he wants me to do.
