I’m trying to get better at doing my makeup but I’m terrible w/ the eyeshadow department. What ways do I do it? Lighter shades more upwards around my eyebrow?? How do I blend good?? 😂 how do I do good eyeshadow in general? When I say I’m clueless about it , I mean itttt

I feel like a broken record. Go to Sephora and ask for help. They will help you select a palette (urban decay naked perhaps) and give you instruction on application. It really depends what your eyes look like.

Start off simple, don't try too many colours at once or it'll just be a mess. Usually a palette of neutral colours is a good place to start. Put down a Base colour over the whole lid, then add a darker shade to the outer half of your lid and a lighter shade to the other half. Lightly brush around the edges so there aren't any harsh lines. YouTube has loads of videos, just put beginner in front of your searches

I’m a make up artist and Basically: a good base, good quality eyeshadow and good quality brushes. 
A good base is key because an uneven or too powdery base can leave to an uneven or chalky finish to the eyeshadow 
Good quality PIGMENTED and blendabe eyeshadows are key. If they’re too chalky it’ll look cheap and washed out, and if they aren’t blendable it’ll just look like a mush of colours. Morphe palettes are fantastic quality and pigment for around $25 per palette
Also good brushes make the whole adding together colours and blending easier:) 
Don’t go straight into dark colours or blacks etc, start with lighter versions or browns and build up the colour :)
