Today is mine and my boyfriend 2 year anniversary. I bought a dress months ago so we could go somewhere nice. He took off of work, but they scheduled him anyways so we can't go where I originally wanted to go. We have never been anywhere nice enough to dress up. What does a girl have to do to have a nice romantic evening?

I completely understand where you’re coming from. Last year was our first anniversary but we didn’t celebrate because my mom passed away 2 weeks prior and I was obviously not in the mood to celebrate and then this years anniversary wasn’t celebrated because I’m pregnant and money is really tight and he was working. Maybe you guys could go on a different day? We ended up celebrated months later for both our anniversaries and t was just as special

See that him having this job is a tool to afford him money to even go out on a date.  Choose another night, and next year you might be able to celebrate both your anniversary and you’re re-scheduled anniversary 😊. It can be a new tradition, created from the circumstance you face this time around.
