Keeping Up Image

This weekend is suppose to be my boyfriend’s friend’s wedding and I asked my parents if I could go. I’m 18 and everywhere I go, I always tell them and ask for their permission. I asked my parents and they said no. The reason is because it’s “embarrassing”. Even though I was invited, my parents think if their parents didn’t invite me, it’s not okay to go. I’m so mad because my boyfriend asked me months in advance already. And also because the reasoning is stupid to me to be honest. It seems that no matter how old I get and no matter how responsible I am, they will never let me make my own choices. It’s situations like these that make me want to move out quickly. Just needed to rant.
