Are irregular periods normal?

Question

I know they are common, but does it technically mean something's off/wrong? I had been on BC for 6 years, since I was 15. Went off in January and this was only my second period and it was excruciating. Going for an ultra sound and labs later in the week to see if I have cysts or what could be going on. I just want to know does it mean something is wrong or is it okay to be irregular? I do have to say I feel like I've been going crazy in general since coming off the pill 😅

No some people are just always irregular it doesn’t mean anything is wrong

I've been on and off irregular since I got them. I've been cleared by several gynecologists as being healthy. :)

It depends on what you mean by irregular I have somewhat irregular periods ranging from 28 days sometimes 32 days sometimes 38 days and I have 2 boys and pregnant with number 3 all conceived same month of trying just based on me keeping track with ovulation

I’ve always been healthy & been irregular since the beginning.  But it is a hormonal imbalance. I saw a holistic dr in my mid 20’s and she get me balanced & regular. Now instead of 2-3 months between cycles, sometimes I’m like clock work every 30 days. But I never go more than 40 days

I would look into your thyroid make sure you’re at 2 and below is ideal

My moms been irregular since she hit puberty and it’s never been a problem for her. She didn’t find out she was pregnant with me until she was almost 5 months though, so... 🤷‍♀️
