Part II: “Check Yoself”

The main reason I asked if it could be seen as racist is the lack in pronunciation of the “R” sound. Maybe racist isn’t the right word. More so, is it offensive for a white person to say “yoself” whether it be quoting or otherwise. I know this quote is from the Ice Cube song and I know what it MEANS I’m just curious if saying it “yoself” rather than “yourself” is derogatory.

I usually say “yoself” because that is how he sounds when it’s said. But I stopped because I didn’t want to seem offensive doing it that way. I’m just curious if it is ACTUALLY seen as offensive or if I’m being too sensitive.
