41 years old and worried/concerned

Hi I just turned 41 and just found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant...BUT some of my family has me scared about the risks of down syndrome...my fiance is 55 yrs old...they did do a series of blood work every other day for a couple of weeks to check hcg levels to make sure they were rising correctly and they were where they needed to be...i go Monday the 16th for our very FIRST ultrasound but I'm sooo scared of loosing this baby or the risks of down syndrome please anyone over 40 have a perfectly healthy baby??? Im tryimg not to worry but its hard not too 😢😢😢😢
