Who else in your family got TDAP?

I just got mine recently, but I'm wondering who else to ask.
Also, people have said you shouldn't let anyone recently vaccinated around your newborn. Is there any truth to that? It's not a live vaccine so I'm not sure what the concern is. Plus, many of us moms are considered newly vaccinated since we got the vaccine while pregnant...

I’m asking immediate family who will be at the hospital when she is born. They say anyone in regular contact should get it. If ur friend is going to stop by for an hr to see the new baby once your home I wouldnt ask them

I am asking every single person who wants to see the baby to get vaccinated first. My parents already got it, the rest will get it as well.

I’ve asked all family to get it. I’ve never heard anything like that about recently vaccinated.

I had my mom get it because she works with kids and will be part time watching my baby. I asked my in laws to get it, but didn’t insist on it because I don’t see them coming around much the first couple of months, but they’re doing it. My husband got it. That’s it. Pretty much anyone who plans to spend more than a day or two with her in the first few months I would ask. It’s so awkward. 🙃

Cocooningy has been proven to not be effective way to prevent baby from getting whooping cough. So I will not be asking anyone. Go check out the CDC website.

Husband and I already got it, then asking both my parents and his to if they aren't up to date. Will probably check with our siblings who want to see baby before his 1st set of vaccines as well.

I am having everyone who is going to be around my baby get it. My two nieces who’s dad never ever got vaccinated in his life I think made my nieces have a weak immune system because my 3 month and 1 yr old niece got the whooping cough and it was so scary to see. They would cough so hard and stop breathing through the attacks and the 3 month old was hospitalized.
