Ok, so I am not pregnant yet, but I do want to have kids eventually.

But, today on Facebook I saw a post about a woman who’s daughter died, because they came into contact with someone who had the cold sore virus.

She said that no one who had come into contact with her baby had an active cold sore, yet she caught the disease and died.

Now I get cold sores and I eventually want to have a baby. So how does this effect me? Will I be putting my kid at risk just by being born to me? Like will I be able to hold them and cuddle them like a normal parent?

Sorry the article/post really freaked me out, and since I do want to have a kid in the next few years, I feel like this is something I need to know!
