Hospital bag???

All these YouTube videos and Pinterest lists & im still kinda iffy on some items. What’s a must have everyone’s taking? Thinking of this being our going home outfit, still not sure but now that I look at it I kinda like it. Maybe do a comparison to this picture to her actually wearing it 😅 34w btw 💖

I’ve packed 3 nursing gowns and a nursing top and shorts and a long cardigan instead of a robe (I only have a few silky ones and I barely ever wear those). 
My reason for four outfits is preparing for an unexpected emergency c-section. Typical stay for that is 3-4 days and being high risk I’ve been told they will probably keep me the full amount of time if I need one.
I will pack my going home outfit day-of bc I don’t have many maternity clothes so I wear them all often.
I did buy a couple of full bottom briefs bc I’m a huge thong wearer so I needed them anyways since I won’t be wearing thongs for a while after birth. 😅
I also bought a pack of mesh panties incase those are more comfy than undies with maxi pads (again bc I haven’t worn them in so long) and for nightwear, but I fully plan to wear what the hospital provides for the first 24-48hrs as recommended during our L&D; tour. So I’ll prob just stick one or two of these in my bag as a “just incase”.
I have a pair of spa sandals for the shower and slippers - I probably won’t take socks bc I don’t like them. If I regret that decision they always have them at the hospital. 
My husband and I plan to take one towel for both of us.
I’ve separated my toiletries into two ziplocks in the same case, I did this incase my husband needs to retrieve anything for me:

I put my shower stuff in my labor items bag just incase I want to take one while in L&D.; As well as hair ties and Bobbie pins to keep my hair back and chapstick as I’ve heard chap lips are common. I skipped the water bottle bc hospitals have cups and straws. It seemed a bit unnecessary. 
Postpartum bag includes lotion, mascara and blush as my “feel good” items, then nipple cream, soothies, nipple guard, colace, tucks, a couple of maxi pads, bottom spray and a travel bidet for the unmentionable places that will need attention 😂.
Our hospital provides tucks, pads and probably a stronger stool softener and so I plan to use those while there. I just already bought these for after care at home, so I figured I’d stick them in my bag just incase.
The hospital also provides disposable nursing pads, so I’m saving mine for later.
Believe it or not all of the above fits in a carry on with extra room! 
Oh! I’m also packing a few snacks (granola bars, protein bars, crackers, trail mix and a little fruit)- it was recommended on our hospital tour in the event you deliver in the middle of the night because the cafeteria is shut down from like 9-10pm to 4am.
Baby’s bag I packed a few onesies incase we wanted to try one on for photos (I picked a couple that were different brands and thus different sizes of NB and 0-3m since we don’t know how big she will be), one headband with a bow, two hats and receiving blankets, a cute pair of NB bunny slippers, her first years memory book to fill out in downtime and a going home outfit. I did stick a couple of diapers and a trial pack of wipes in there, but the hospital will also have all of that. Oh and one paci and a chew toy even though I know she’s unlikely to play with it. That’s all in her diaper bag.

My must have is a comfort item. I don’t like hospitals. My must have is a cuddle blanket that my husband got me 5 years for Christmas the year I was pregnant with our first. I had it with me with then and I will again now. I didn’t have a bag ready to go yet so I didn’t end up using anything they list. My husband packed my bag for me and literally, I only used an outfit to come home in and that cuddle blanket. Oh and a phone charger but nothing else 🤷🏼‍♀️
