Tips for going out with breastfed newborn?

My baby boy is 2 weeks old.  I haven’t left the house with him other than to go to his appointments.  I’m definitely getting cabin fever, but the thought of trying to take him out to the park or grocery store stresses me out due to the fact that he eats every 2 hrs and is breastfed.. any tips?

Leave right after he feeds. Bring a cover if you think he’ll need to eat, but if it’s every two hours, you should be able to run an errand or two.

also make sure.ypu are comfortable with whatever you wear while feeding. You don't want to get frustrated.

You could BF before leaving the house. You could pump and bring a bottle of breastmilk. You could nurse him while you’re out (bring a nursing cover if you want, or nurse him in the car).  
I was worried about the same issues in the beginning too but trust me... you figure it out. 
Start with small outings and increase your time out slowly.

feed him when he's hungry? 
no really I understand the nervousness. it was weird when I was learning to nurse my first and figuring it out.
but nurse before leaving and nurse him when needed. start with quick trips and it will get easier. also my kids would often go longer between feedings when out and then make up for it when we got home

I won't take baby anywhere in public until he gets his shots...too risky for me. I leave baby in cat with husband and go grocery shopping etc

i only use a bottle (with breast milk only) when someone else is with baby or if we go out. i always feed baby before we leave the house and then i also have a bottle of breastmilk warmed and take with us incase she gets fussy..

I waited until about 3 weeks when we introduced the bottle. I would pump right before we left so I had one on me just Incase. I wasn’t comfortable feeding out and about until about 2-3months. (I needed my boppy and to see what was going on before that)

Definitely leave right after feeding baby. I am most comfortable using the two shirt method while nursing baby in public. My grocery store has a Starbucks in it so I just went over there to sit down and feed or it I was at a place like Target or the mall I’d go into a dressing room. I also wore my baby in her carrier if I was grocery shopping so the car seat didn’t fill up the cart, until she was big enough to sit up top.

I always fed right before we left and he usually slept the entire time. I would nurse when needed. Now that he’s old and gets way more distracted while nursing I just heat up a bottle before leaving to have Incase he gets fussy. I found the easiest time to take my son out was newborn-2 months.
