Discharge brown 14 weeks

I’ve been to my OB for ultrasounds and pelvic exams twice within the past few weeks on the 4th and 10th. Nothing is wrong with the baby but I still have brown discharge. On the 4th I went to the ER for vaginal bleeding(red) nothing was wrong and I went for a follow up on the 10th same result. But the brown discharge hasn’t stopped. What could be wrong. My cervix is 3.2 and the placenta is posterior. Should I go back to the ER?
